Marketing & Communications Manager

Gena first joined CfC as a volunteer in 2017, on the Annual Event Planning Committee. In 2019, she was hired as the Marketing and Communications Manager for CfC, to guide and execute all internal and external communications.

With over ten years of professional experience, Gena has successfully led strategic communication plans for non-profit and for-profit companies, helping to increase public awareness, revenue and strategic partnerships.  Her favorite marketing projects to tackle are those that focus on improving efficiency and quality. Most recently, she project-managed a new website and ticketing system for a yacht cruise company, helping to increase their public cruise sales by 25 percent.

Gena received a degree in Communications, emphasis in Public Relations, from the Edward R. Murrow School of Communication at Washington State University. In 2012, While working as the Marketing Director for Habitat SKC, Gena participated in the Habitat Friendship build in Srimangal, Bangladesh, where volunteers helped to build 50 homes in two weeks. She saw first-hand how improved infrastructure changes lives, especially for those living in more remote and less developed areas. She’s excited to contribute her skills to the powerful work CfC is doing locally and globally to impact lives through improved healthcare, education and economic mobility.
