Kevin joined the Construction for Change team in 2016 as Executive Director. Kevin has committed his entire professional life to working on behalf of disadvantaged and marginalized populations by providing servant leadership, mobilizing strategic relationships and generating financial and social capital. Kevin began his professional career in construction but soon transitioned to Young Life, a global youth development organization. In 1996 Kevin accepted a role with World Vision United States, one of the world’s largest non-profit organizations, where he continued to serve for 12 years, the last 8 years as the Vice President of U.S. Programs.
In 2008, Kevin was named Executive Director of Olive Crest – Pacific Northwest and led the expansion of their child welfare services from one to four offices across the State of Washington, while growing revenues and case management. In 2012, Kevin joined Habitat for Humanity Seattle-King County as a consultant to provide leadership during a pending merger. After serving as Vice President of Development and Community Engagement for 3 years, Mr. Hunter was named Acting CEO of Habitat for Humanity in 2015.
Kevin has visited many parts of the world and seen firsthand what effective community development strategies can and should look like. Kevin is passionate about the mission of Construction for Change and is readily equipped to lead the organization and manifest profound impact by effectively serving partners locally and around the globe.
