Contribute Your Skills

From seasoned professionals to first‑time helpers — there’s a role for you. One organized volunteer shift can unlock weeks of momentum. Whether you help for three hours or three months, your effort multiplies.

VOLUNTEER YOUR WAY

Individual w/ Industry Experience

Put industry expertise to work. We need help from construction, engineering, and architectural professionals.

Individuals Outside the Industry

Contribute your time and passion to help at events, getting the word out, sending out thank yous, and more.

Companies & Firms Pro Bono

In-kind services in the construction, engineering and architectural space to help bring projects to the next level.

Flexible roles. From one-time
to ongoing. Meaningful outcomes you can see. Collaborative work with local and global teams.

No matter your experience, there’s a role for you with Construction for Change.

AEC/Construction

  • Owner’s rep advisor (project planning)
  • PM schedule review & risk check
  • Site logistics or procurement support

Non-Construction

  • Event coordinator (one‑day or series)
  • Content creator / photographer
  • Outreach to partner networks

Even a few hours helps. Start small; grow your involvement as you go.

Let’s have a conversation about how you can help.

Every hour you give moves a project forward: a schedule stays on track, a partner gets expert advice, a facility opens sooner. That leads to fewer miles traveled for care, more kids in local classrooms, and time returned to women who’ve shouldered long trips for essential services. Because we use local teams and materials when possible, your contribution also supports local economies.

Volunteer FAQs

Do I need construction or engineering experience to volunteer with CfC?

No. While we greatly value the expertise of professionals in architecture, engineering, and construction, many of our volunteer roles are non-technical. Event coordination, communications, marketing, fundraising, and community outreach are all areas where volunteers without industry backgrounds can make a big impact.

Can I volunteer remotely?

Yes. Many of our planning, administrative, and communications roles can be done entirely online. From reviewing project plans to creating content for our website and social channels, you can contribute from anywhere in the world.

What if I only have a few hours to give?

That’s fine. We offer flexible volunteer opportunities ranging from one-day events to short-term projects and ongoing roles. Even a small time commitment can help move a project forward or support our mission in a meaningful way.

Do you accept corporate volunteer groups?

Absolutely. We welcome companies interested in donating professional services, in-kind materials, or team volunteer time. Corporate groups often provide concentrated bursts of help for special projects, events, or partner initiatives.

Will I need to travel to a project site?

Not necessarily. Some roles are on-site in our project locations, but most volunteer opportunities—especially in planning, fundraising, or marketing—do not require travel. If travel is an option for a role, we’ll provide all the relevant details upfront.

Can I choose the type of project I work on?

We do our best to match volunteers with projects that align with their skills, interests, and availability. While we can’t always guarantee placement in a specific project, we’ll always aim to give you meaningful, engaging work.

How long does it take to start volunteering?

It depends on the role. Some short-term positions can start within days, while more specialized roles may require a brief onboarding process to ensure we have the right fit.

What kind of support will I receive as a volunteer?

Every volunteer is assigned a point of contact within CfC. You’ll receive the resources, training, and ongoing communication needed to make your contribution impactful and rewarding.
